Controlling urinal flushing

Schell, urinal flushing control

Schell’s Compact LC urinal control can be used with all urinal bowls, including stainless steel, and offers a range of precisely delivered and easily programmed flush programmes. The sensor and the reed switch that controls it are concealed — for aesthetic reasons and to prevent vandalism.

The compact LC sensor is installed to the rear of the siphon provided with the kit. The flush is activated by the contact of liquid with the sensor, which is corrosion proof and which will detect liquid flow even if there are heavy urine or scale deposits.

Options include a 1 or 2 l flush or a hybrid flush for urinals using a sealing liquid. There are also automatic programs for a sanitation flush 24 h after the last use and a ‘stadium’ flush that reduces the flushed volume at times of exceptionally high usage.

To protect against overflows, the sensor will not operate if the bowl is blocked. Power can be provided by a 6 V battery or mains via an adaptor.
