Presenting energy savings that are easily understood

eSight Energy, energy monitoring
Energy savings in context — eSight Energy’s eZdash dashboard helps an organisation’s staff and the public relate to its energy-saving efforts.

Software to encourage wider participation in reducing energy consumption has been introduced by eSight Energy. Called eZdash, it is a dashboard solution that presents an organisation’s reduced carbon emissions as equivalent to the number of cars removed from the road or the planting of a grove of trees. Intended for display in public areas, eZdash is designed to encourage wider participation in the awareness of energy management and help achieve energy-reduction targets.

Steve Norman, technical director of eSight, says, ‘By presenting energy-usage data in this user-friendly fashion, non-technical people, including the general public, can now view a company’s actions to save energy in relative context. This increases overall visibility of their efforts on sustainability, both within the organisation and with their customers as well.’

Such awareness of energy consumption can help organisations reduce their energy costs by 5 to 20%.
