Companies co-operate to offer total underfloor heating service

MHS Boilers has teamed up with Italian manufacturer Giacomini to offer a total service in underfloor heating — embracing design, supply, installation and commissioning. Giacomini makes everything associated with the system, including pipe, manifolds, fixing systems and controls. MHS is a major force in commercial wall-mounted boilers. Ian Bradley, managing director of MHS, says, ‘Underfloor heating was a yawning gap in our product portfolio. We were supplying condensing boilers to a host of underfloor applications, and I knew that if we selected the right partner we could become a major force in this growing sector.’

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
