Logging utility meter readings

Meter reading
Doubling the speed of meter reading compared with the manual approach — Stark’s Meteor paperless solution.
Stark’s paper-free Meteor for reading utility meters halves the time spent on manual meter reading. It is relevant for organisations with large numbers of sub-meters for cost-centre accounting, tenant billing or monitoring and targeting. All types of utility meter can be read and up to 100 separate meter-reading tours stored. A barcode scanner identifies the meter, and there is a touch-sensitive screen for entering data. As a reading is keyed in, Meteor validates it and prompts the user to check and re-enter any erroneous figures. Software in Meteor tells users which meters they have visited and which they still have to read. Information can be transferred to a computer database.
