Dublin homes benefit from Vent-Axia MVHR systems

Energy-efficient ventilation for this apartment development in Dublin is provided by Vent-Axia heat-recovery ventilation systems.

Vent-Axia systems to provide mechanical ventilation with heat recovery have been installed in the first phase of the Honeypark apartment in Dun Laoghaire, a development of 143 social and affordable homes near Dublin City Centre. The development comprises apartments with one to three bedrooms in a 4-storey block. Coakley McElligott installed the Sentinel Kinetic units to serve the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedrooms in each property.

These ventilation units help meet the requirements for low-energy ventilation of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and help satisfy the requirements of Part F of the Building Regulations.

Sentinel Kinetic units are capable of 90% heat recovery between exhaust and fresh-air. They have a specific fan power of 0.72 W/l/s.

The system has adjustable dual-speed options — continuous trickle ventilation or high-speed boost extract flow. The more airtight the property, the more energy efficient the heat-recovery system will be.
