Programmers go back to old principles

Siemens, central heating programmer, space heating

Following extensive market research, Siemens has launched a range of time controllers for central-heating systems with large backlit displays, simple programming and slider controls. They deliberately avoid push buttons and setting menus that require interrogation. The range comprises two programmers and two time switches.

The time switches are available as single-channel units or as 5/2- or full 7-day units. The other two models provide these facilities but for two channels.

All models have service-interval reminders that can be enabled at the point of installation or later in the year.

These units are designed for installation using existing industry back plates but also to fit the back plates of many other manufacturers with little or no rewiring. They are backwards compatible.
