BMSs meet window-control

WindowMaster, which specialises in natural-ventilation systems, has launched its MotorLink automated window solution onto the open market in the UK to provide a safe window-control option for the facade and building-controls industries. MotorLink operates within open standards, so it does not require expensive dedicated control systems, to deliver precise and accurate control

The versatile range of functionality of the MotorLink system enables BMS suppliers and facade companies to deliver robust and flexible control solutions tailored to specific project requirements.

The system offers precise position control, 3-speed operation of actuators, synchronising of up to four actuators on one window and reduced risk of entrapment. There is a reversing switch to protect the weather seals around the window, fault indication and online setup.

Millimetre-by millimetre control enables indoor climate to be optimised whatever the weather or season. 2-way communication between the window actuators and MotorControllers enables the BMS to position windows accurately.

Richard Arnott, market manager for the UK and Ireland, ‘WindowMaster has used its years of experience to make the programming and operation of automatic natural-ventilation systems as easy as possible. The MotorLink range of MotorControllers is very versatile and interfaces with building-management systems using open bus communication standards — including KNX, LON, BACnet and Modbus.’
