Sound-damping units for air systems are compact
Schako’s Piano range of sound-damping control units provide a compact solution for reducing noise in supply and return air systems, without any detrimental effect on performance. Piano control units are half the height of many comparable products, making them easy to install — especially in suspended ceilings where space can be restricted.
These units have a large, clear-flow cross section to minimise pressure loss and reduce flow-generated noise. The resulting optimised aerodynamic flow characteristics (with a flow of 20 to 1680 l/s) eliminate the need for inflow and outflow sections. Installation time is further reduced by the controllers being factory preset, minimising in-situ adjustments.
Piano control units can be connected directly to rectangular ducts to DIN 24190 or to spiral ducts to DIN 24145 using a transition piece. They can be used at a static pressure different of just 20 Pa.
Supplied in a galvanised-steel housing with mineral-wool insulation, these units come in standard and pneumatic models, with a number of variants for reach.
