Clamp-fit plastic pipe gives permanent joints

With the price of copper having risen by up to 200% over the last two years and now at a record high according to the London Metal Exchange, Buteline is presenting its non-demountable polybutene system as an economic alternative. The clamped joints are permanent and if made using the company’s ProClamp tools, the tool can only be released once the fitting has been fully clamped.

These tools are available in four sizes to suite 10, 16, 22 and 28 mm Buteline fittings.

Fittings are single-piece units with no loose pieces such as O rings, grab rings or spacers.

Gary Fisher, UK general manager, says, ‘A system such as Buteline’s clampseal solution has a 25-year guarantee, is competitively priced and doesn’t required future repairs. The quick installation method can halve the associated labour.’
