Inviron is acquired by Imtech

Inviron, a leading provider of building services and facilities management, has been acquired by European technical-services group Imtech, which is based in the Netherlands and operates across Europe. The group has a turnover in excess of u4.5 billion and more than 25 000 employees serving over 21 000 clients. Its UK operation has a turnover of about £400 million and a nationwide blue-chip client base and over 2000 employers.

Gary Metcalfe, managing director at Inviron, says, ‘The acquisition of our business by Imech is a key milestone in the future development of our company and facilitates the further development of our service offering to existing clients as well as opening new opportunities to work for clients of Imtech.

‘Our employees and customers will not be affected by this acquisition. We will continue to operate under the same company name with the same culture and direction.’

Jim Steele, CEO of Imtech UK describes the acquisition as ‘a key step in our strategy to offer our clients full technical services from concept to lifetime care.
