Glow-worm enlarges Clearly Heat Pumps range

Glow-worm, clearly heat pumps

Glow-worm has added larger models to its Clearly Heat Pumps range of air-to-water heat-pump systems. The new units have outputs of 7, 12 and 14 kW and join the existing 5 kW model. Clearly Heat Pumps is a fully integrated heating system which is straightforward to install and easy to use.

The heat pump itself has an inverter-controlled compressor.

The AS hydraulic unit eliminates the need to fill the entire system with glycol/water or to install additional buffer vessels. It incorporates a 6 kW back-up heater to provide additional heat during extreme cold snaps. The hydraulic unit also incorporates a central-heating circulating pump, PRVs for the glycol circuit and the heating circuit, and valves to enable the system to be filled from outdoors.

The Systempro central installer interface co-ordinates the system and provides a step-by-step commissioning feature.

Homeowners control the system with the Climapro2 wireless handheld controller. A wireless outdoor sensor provides weather compensation.

Carbon savings of up to 40% can be achieved when replacing an older standard-efficiency boilers.

These heat pumps can help achieve level 4 of the Code for Sustainable homes. They are MCS accredited, so they are potentially eligible for future RHI funding.
