Air-cooled chillers designed for quiet operation

chiller
Designed for low-noise operation — new air-cooled chillers from Axair Climate.
Low noise levels are a key feature of the Kappa V Echos series of air-cooled chillers made by Blue Box and available through Axair Climate. Noise issues have been addressed by using generously sized exchanger elements using condensing coils with corrugated fins (which optimise thermal exchange without impacting pressure drops) and dry expansion brazed plate or shell-and-tube evaporators. The screw compressors are optimised for both R407C and R134a. Cooling capacities range from 160 to 1000 kW. Items of equipment such as primary circuit pump, secondary circuit pump, storage tank and pump to the dry cooler are accommodated inside the unit. Variable-flow pumps are used.
