More choice in domestic hot water — Lochinvar’s Select V2 water-heater selection program
Lochinvar has developed an improved version of its computerised water-heater selection program for specifiers. Select V2 is available free on request. It comes on a CD-ROM and is designed to guide the user through the sizing process, calculating the total requirement for hot water at the selected temperature for a chosen peak-period demand. Building types include hospitals, factories, prisons, retail stores and student accommodation. There are two systems for catering applications; one is a ‘quick size’, and the other is a detailed sizing. Once the requirements have been calculated, Select prompts the user to enter additional criteria appropriate to the product type and installation requirements. Various combinations of water heaters and storage tanks can be requested, and up to four options provided.
