Chalmor’s fit-and-forget lighting

Endurance long-life luminaires from Chalmor have a working life of 60 000 h before replacement is required — equating to 20 years of operation at 10 h use a day. These fittings use induction-lamp technology, which is more energy efficient than SON, metal-halide and MVF lamps. They are said to be fully compatible with lighting-control systems and are housed in IP65 weatherrpoof fittings for both exterior and interior use; a stainless-steel option is available. A consistent 150 W white light with no colour shift is produced. Lamps strike instantly, with full output being achieved within 60 s. Endurance luminaires are designed to be a direct replacement for existing fittings. The cost implications of the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive are also addressed. WEEE means that the cost of recycling spent lamp components is incorporated into the price of each lamp, meaning that a premium has to be paid every time a lamp is replaced — which is not very often with Endurance! The costs and risk of maintenance work at high level is also eliminated. info@chalmor.co.uk
