Energy-efficient cooling

FETA, chilled ceilings, chilled beams

A guide to energy-efficient cooling using chilled beams and ceilings has been prepared by the Chilled Beams & Ceilings Association, part of FETA, the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations. It includes details on the various energy-efficient water-based systems on the market and proposes points to consider when specifying.

With energy efficiency and environmental considerations high on the agenda of building owners, developers and users, this guide is an invaluable tool to understanding the commercial benefits of these products.

Andrew Jackson, chairman of CBCA and a director with SAS International, says, ‘This is the first time that the members of the CBCA have shared their extensive knowledge and experience to ensure that the knowledge and specification of chilled beams and ceilings is fully understood.

‘This is the first step in a structured programme by the CBCA to be more proactive in the industry to drive best-practice standards and highlight the significant benefits of these types of cooling systems.

The guide can be downloaded from the CBCA web site.
