RCD protection is now offered with Eaton’s Memstyle range of socket outlets.
RCD-protected 2-gang switched socket outlets are now available in Eaton’s Memstyle range for applications where there is not a residual-current device or where tripping discrimination is required at the socket outlet. These socket outlets are offered in flush, surface, and flat-plate formats. They are available as active or passive devices with sensitivities of 10 or 30 mA. Active units must be reset after any interruption to the power supply. Passive units have contacts that remain closed through an interruption to the power supply and are thus intended for use with appliances such as refrigerators and freezers. There is a wide range of finishes, and all these socket outlets have outboard switches. Test and reset buttons are provided, and a red flag indicates that the RCD is on.
