Monodraught performance components in IES VE-Pro Suite

Monodraught has partnered with IES to develop an approach to modelling natural-ventilation systems — Windcatcher performance components. This venture introduces a comprehensive ‘catalogue’ of Monodraught systems that are available as predefined performance components for any user of the IES Virtual Environment Suite to access and use in their models.

Robb Alsem, Monodraught’s business development director, explains that the Windcatcher performance components are a tool that give users the ability to easily and accurately explore the viability of natural ventilation as an alternative to conventional HVAC strategies. The assessments are based on quantified performance data experimentally verified by Monodraught, giving users increased confidence in the natural-ventilation and hybrid schemes they are delivering.’
