UBM Live confirms end of Building Services Event

The Building Services Event, traditionally held at Olympia in London in the autumn, will not return in 2013. Making the announcement, Fergus Bird, event manager at UBM Live Group, said, ‘Having reviewed all of UBM’s activity for 2013, we feel that the building-services sector is already covered extensively by our built-environment products — including the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment — Ecobuild.’

A feature of the last Building Services Event was the CIBSE conference, and Mr Bird says, ‘CIBSE will continue to partner with UBM with a high-profile presence at Ecobuild and will be revealing an alternative format for its building performance-focused conference for 2013 and beyond shortly.’

Ecobuild will run from 5 to 7 March 2013 at ExCel in London.
