BCIA takes control of controls training
The Building Controls Industry Association is now managing its own technical training courses, recognised as the leading courses in building controls. Their scope extends from the basics to advanced theory and practice. There are seven courses.
Ian Ellis, president of BCIA, explains, ‘The BCIA has taken this important step to operate the courses itself because we want to ensure that the course content remains relevant to our industry and its requirements. The BCIA aims to deliver and grow the courses, investing in development for the future.’
The courses are part of BCIA’s wider commitment to training and education in the sector. The association has teamed up with Eastleigh College, which is now its assessment centre for the BEMS NVQ diploma.
