Indirect storage vessels utilise renewable energy

Lochinvar has expanded its range of indirect storage vessels for hot water in response to the growing use of renewable-energy sources with traditional gas-fired systems. These storage vessels can capture energy from a variety of renewable sources, including solar-thermal and air-source heat pumps, and/or working as part of traditional LTHW systems.

There are models with one or two coils. Single-coil models are also offered with oversized coils for use with renewable energy or to provide rapid recovery when used for producing domestic hot water.

Squire indirect storage vessels are offered with single or twin coils and in capacities of 300 and 450 l. Twin-coil models can have the lower coil used for renewable energy and the upper coil with a boiler. Alternatively, both coils can be used with a boiler to increase recovery rate.

SSCF and STCF indirect storage vessels are available with single and twin coils and capacities from 150 to 3000 l.

Capable of being used with multiple heat sources, including solar and heat pumps as well as boilers, is the HSV thermal store. There are six sizes with capacities from 500 to 2000 l.

Lochinvar offers a design and manufacturing service for bespoke storage vessels to meet specific project requirements.
