Rinnai boosts renewables performance

Rinnai HDC1500 and HDC1200 condensing continuous-flow water heaters can be teamed up with renewable energy at first installation or have it added later. Possibilities include solar thermal and heat pumps.

When used to boost solar gain, these water heaters only fire when the required temperature cannot be delivered by the renewable heat source — otherwise the water heater remains inactive.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
