Terry Payne has been appointed a Special Professor at Nottingham University for his work in the development of natural-ventilation and natural-lighting solutions.
The development of the Windcatcher natural-ventilation system and SunPipe natural-lighting system by Monodraught over the last 10 years have led to the company’s managing director Terry Payne being appointed a Special Professor in Building Services Engineering at the School of the Built Environment in Nottingham University. Prof. Riffat of the University of Nottingham says, ‘Prof. Payne has made an outstanding contribution to the field of natural ventilation, passive cooing and daylighting, and his pioneering work on Windcatchers and SunPipes has transformed the industry
