Massive hospital will get the Grundfos treatment

Grundfos Pumps. Magna3

As hospitals go, a new hospital in Aarhus in Denmark must take some building. When fully operational in 2019, it will treat 100 000 inpatients and 900 000 outpatients a year — making it one of the largest hospitals in northern Europe. 220 000 m2 of new buildings will merge with the 157 000 m2 existing hospital to deliver a range of leading-edge medical services.

Decisions already made about the services include selecting pumps from the Grundfos Magna3 family of circulators. They will be used in the heating and cooling systems and for recycling heat. Features of these energy-efficient pumps include AutoAdapt, which finds the optimum energy settings. These pumps can also be integrated into a building-management system.
