LG’s latest water-cooled VRF system

LG, air conditioning, VRF, water cooled

LG’s Multi V water cooled IV HVAC system is available in heat-pump and heat-recovery versions from 22.4 to 224 kW. The concept is that a VRF system with a total piping length of up to 300 m is interfaced with a water circuit into which it can reject heat or draw heat from.

COPs of up to 5.9 can be achieved and IPLVs (independent part-load value) of 6.73.

The ‘outdoor’ units of this range are smaller and lighter than before and can be double stacked to save installation space.

Being able to reject heat into a water circuit is a useful feature for high-rise buildings. It can also interface with heat sources such as ground water, lakes and rivers.
