Shower bar designed for safety and easy servicing

Bristan has launched a shower that is designed to help commercial users ensure optimum water temperature and infection control. Ideally suited for the healthcare, the Opac bar shower has built-in TMV 3 control and an automatic thermostatic shutoff in the event of the hot or cold water supply failing.

A key feature is a simple isolation and hot-flush mechanism that requires only the turning of the two valves on the rear of the shower body to access inside, eliminating the need for additional flushing equipment. This feature will be a huge benefit to public-section organisations that are required to conduct regular hot-water flushes to ensure that the supply and flow points remain uncontaminated.

With Opac, a hot flush can be completed in 10 minutes, compared with up to an hour for a traditional shower set-up.

The shower also has separate controls for timer and flow with lever handles. The Opac bar never gets hotter than the mixed-water temperature.
