Fast test results for vapour permeability

Versaperm’s VI system for assessing the vapour permeability of building materials, including vapour barriers, is described as faster, cheaper and more accurate than traditional testing methods. Results are typically produced within 24 hours. The testing system can simulate the diurnal cycle and measure it across winter’s sub-zero temperatures and summer’s hottest days.

The system can measure the permeability and dewpoint of anything from a single vapour barrier to entire structures — as well as building boards, adhesives, mastics, walls, screeds, windows, laminated and roofing felts.

Results are said to be typically accurate in the parts per million range.
