Maintaining DHW temperature in branches

The benefits of Pentair Thermal Building Solutions’ HWAT-T55 and Raychem system for maintaining the temperature of domestic hot water in small pipe networks or branches up to 50 m are demonstrated in a video on YouTube.

This thermostat monitors pipe temperature and ensures that the system is only used for maintaining the temperature in the pipe network, not heating the water.

The major benefit is that hot water is immediately available at the outlet without having to run cooled water for some time, thereby also saving water.

The thermostat has a 10 m line sensing cable and automatically lowers the maintenance temperature during hours of low use. When water usage is high and hot water is flowing, the heating cable is switched off.
