Fast specification and delivery for air-handling units
Systemair has developed a range of air-handling units that offer high specification, quick delivery and speed and ease of specification. Called Time, the range comprises six sizes covering air volumes from 0.4 to 3.8 m3/s. All models have plug fans with inverter control to achieve a turndown of over 50%. The smallest size thus covers 0.4 to 0.9 m3/s and the largest 3.8 down to 1.6 m3/s. Units are supplied to order from a range of modular components. A sophisticated selection program enables a full technical quotation to be supplied in three minutes. They are made in Scandinavia and delivered to the UK in two weeks. Because of the high turndown ratio and the controllability of the plug fan to meet a wide range of system pressures, it is only necessary to specify the air volume required. A potentiometer sets the fan for up to 600 Pa of external static pressure. Units are available for internal installation; outdoor units will be introduced in due course. Heat recovery options include thermal wheel and cross-flow plate heat exchanger. Units are also offered with no heat recovery. Other sections include prefilters, filters. heating coils and cooling coils. Sections are joined using Systemair’s Disc-Lock system. Adjustable feet provide quick and simple levelling. For ease of maintenance, air filters are withdrawn from the side and secured by quick-release fasteners. Filter seals are permanently fixed to the unit rather than to the filters themselves. The fasteners compress these seals to prevent air leakage. Damper blades have an aerodynamic profile and interlock to form a good seal.
