Polypipe Ventilation improves control of home environment

Polypipe Ventilation, MVHR, heat recovery

Polypipe Ventilation, which manufactures energy-saving domestic ventilation systems, has launched a new Silavent air-management controller (AMIE) and a new range of Domus duct sound attenuators. The AMIE (Air Management for Indoor Environments) controller provides enhanced control of the Silavent Green Line HRX and HRX2 MVHR systems.

A compact wall-mounted unit, AMIE enables the resident to directly manage the humidity and air temperature through two main MVHR functions. They are boosting the speed of the extract fan to help remove humid air and a summer bypass to prevent the unit supplying pre-warmed air into the dwelling. AMIE thus enables summer and night-time cooling.

AMIE can also provide a reminder to clean the MVHR filter every 3000 h, about four months. It can also provide a replacement reminder every 9000 h.

The new range of Domus rigid duct sound attenuators can reduce noise levels by as much as 50 dB, most importantly at the audible levels that are commonly heard about a home. Their performance has been independently verified by Sound Research Laboratories (SRL).
