Lightning protection for rooftop plantrooms

Lightning protection for rooftop structures — Dehn’s DEHNiso Combi.
A system to protect rooftop structures such as those used to house heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems from the effect of lightning strikes is available from Dehn UK. DEHNiso Combi is an isolated air-termination system that not only protects rooftop electrical and metal installations against lightning strikes but also prevents partial lightning currents entering the building. If separation distances are determined by calculations specified in the new EN2305-E, uncontrolled sparkovers are prevented. The system consists of a range of components, including air-termination rods with conical or tent-shaped protective areas, multiple air-termination rods for protecting larger structures and self-supporting air-termination systems with tripod support. This modular system makes it possible to protect rooftop structures with complicated outlines.
