Durapipe reports surge in BIM downloads

Durapipe, BIM, building information modelling, pipes , plastic pipes

Durapipe UK reports that the use of its BIM models has increased substantially in 2016. Analysing the number of BIM downloads for its Superflo ABS pipework system for chilled water for the first six months of this year showed a 50% increase on the same period last year.

Commenting on the increase in use of its BIM models, building-services brand manager Des Dolan said, ‘There was definitely a reluctance to adopt BIM by many in the industry until this year, but we are now seeing a steady increase month on month in the number of downloads for our BIM models.’

BIM models for Durapipe’s HTA hot- and cold-water systems and Vulcathene chemical drainage systems are to be released this year.
