Heatrae Sadia develops electric heating and DHW in a single box

Fitting neatly into a small space, such as a standard airing cupboard, is Heatrae Sadia’s ElectroMax package to provide heating and hot water for dwellings that cannot use gas

Heatrae Sadia has developed a packaged module to provide electric space heating and domestic hot water. Called ElectroMax, it is targeted at dwellings that are regarded as unsuitable for using mains gas for central heating. Reasons may include gas-supply restrictions or issues surrounding flueing, pluming or condensate drainage. They deliver hot water to radiators or an underfloor system, and are usually coupled with a hot-water storage cylinder and controlled by a programmer or room thermostat. ElectroMax comes with a programmable room thermostat having three on/off periods per day, allowing maximum advantage to be taken of the flexible off-peak electricity tariffs available. The unvented cylinder has a one-hour daytime boost to satisfy requirements for hot water outside of peak hours. These units measure 550 x 630 mm and are 1480 mm high, so they will fit into a standard airing cupboard. They are pre-plumbed, and only the small DHW expansion vessel requires external siting.
