Designing for thermal comfort

The latest edition of CIBSE’s Guide A ‘Environmental design’ takes into account the requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the 2006 Building Regulations Approved Documents Parts L and F. There are also new guidelines on maximum workplace temperatures and how to calculate them. The guide also offers insights into best-practice methods in building-services design and on factors to be considered when choosing calculation methods.
