New Viessmann Vitodens replace 20 year boilers

Viessmann

New Viessmann Vitodens 200-W 150 kW condensing boilers have been installed at Manchester Crown Court, by Viessmann partner Aston CordEnergy Services, to replace an outdated system. The 16 new boilers will provide better space heating, efficiency and control.

The installation is the largest in the UK of the Vitodens 200-W boiler, providing 2.4 MW of power. It is designed to provide maximum reliability and flexibility to meet varying demands at different times and in different parts of the Minshull Street Grade II listed Victorian landmark, which is managed by G4S.

The new boilers are operated in rotation, with four banks of four cascaded boilers managed by a Viessmann Vitotronic 300 control unit that is integrated into the existing building management system. This ensures better modulation, avoids any downtime and provides the right amount of heat to all parts of the building.
