Space Airconditioning wins success in motorcycle sponsorship

Jay Fernandez
Sponsored by Space Airconditioning, Jay Fernandez records his first win of the season at Oulton Park.
Space Airconditioning’s sponsored motorcycle racer Jay Fernandez has secured his first win in the 2004 MRO Powerbike Tour Championship. His success came in the third race of the season at Oulton Park. He started the race on the front row of the grid, but dropped to seventh following a missed gear. In finishing first by 14 seconds, he recorded the fastest lap. At Snetterton, in the first face of the season, he held the lead for much of the race, but suffered clutch failure in the closing stages, forcing him back to second place. In the following race at The Croft, Jay crashed out with front-suspension problems. A spokesman for Space, which is a distributor for Daikin, says, ‘We are still looking for sponsoring partners to help Jay, and hope this impressive win will encourage more support.’ The sponsorship includes a low-cost supporters’ club. marketing@spaceair.co.uk
