Robinson Facilities Services wins tender

The Yorkshire Building Services specialist has joined an exclusive list of firms accredited to undertake work at NHS hospitals across the North of England.

Robinsons Facilities Services has secured a place on the NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) framework, after successfully winning a competitive tender.

NOE CPC members include Harrogate Healthcare Facilities Management Limited, Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Whilst there was a total of 15 different lots that made up the Estates Maintenance & Engineering (Hard FM) Framework, the company concentrated on, and was successful, in winning Lot 8, Plumbing and Heating Systems Installation (supply and fit), Repairs and Servicing, which it tendered for last December.

The appointment to the NOE CPC – which is wholly owned by the NHS and provides collaborative and bespoke procurement solutions to the NHS and other public sector organisations - is the third major contract that Robinsons Facilities Services has won in the last 12 months.

Last July, the company won a competitive tender to carry out maintenance to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning in premises owned or managed by Harrogate Borough Council, as well as a 24/7 emergency repairs service.

And just a few months later it was awarded a place by the University of York – a member of the Russell Group of research-intensive British universities - on its property maintenance framework.

Robinsons Facilities Services Director Katie Challis said: “I’m delighted to announce that of July 1, Robinsons Facilities Management is now a NOE CPC Awarded Supplier.

“We actually tendered for this specific Framework back in December, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed the review process, hence us only finding out now.

“To demonstrate our suitably we had to highlight our experience, skills, quality of work, social value and price. Being accepted on the NOE CPC is a massive boost for the businesses and builds on last year’s successes with Harrogate Borough Council and the University of York.”

Robinson Facilities Services now carries out planned and preventative maintenance and round-the-clock emergency repairs to hundreds of commercial and public sites throughout North, South, West and East Yorkshire.

Since launching seven years ago as its own dedicated, independent business, the company employs a team of 17 offering planned maintenance as well as a round-the-clock call-out repairs service to its customer base throughout Yorkshire.

Its appointment to NOE CPC is part of the Robinson Facilities Services’ ambitious growth strategy, which has seen its turnover increase year by year.
