Room control units combine elegance with function

controllers
QAX-series room units from Siemens Building Technologies provide an elegant interface to controllers and automation stations.
The QAX series of room units from Siemens Building Technologies are flush mounting and designed for use with a wide range of Siemens controllers and automation stations. These units measure and display room temperature and also provide pushbutton control for convenient and accurate adjustment of the room temperature setpoint. Depending on the type of heating system, functionality such as manual control of fan speed in fan-coil systems can be provided. QAX room units are supplied as two separate assemblies. The bus-coupler section mounts onto a standard conduit box and provides PPS2 bus connectivity. The room unit itself plugs into the bus controller. The couplers can be installed at any convenient stage, with the room units added when all other work is complete. The PPS2 bus also provides power to the controller, minimising wiring requirements. The fixings for these units are compatible with 55 mm-square mounting frames from most manufacturers. The appearance can be enhanced using coloured bezels.
