Heat-recovery ventilation system is 90% efficient

Said to be capable of 90% heat transfer between airstreams — the JS Aventis heat-recovery ventilation system.
The Aventis ventilation heat-recovery system for spaces up to 400 m3 transfers energy from extract air to incoming air with an efficiency of 90%, which is said to reduce the heating requirements of such a space by up to 23 500 kWh a year compared with using an air-handling unit without heat recovery. Maximum airflow is 2400 m3/h. Intelligent controls can regulate the system according to carbon-dioxide concentration or humidity. Fan speed is controlled to the lowest possible consistent with optimal air quality. Air filtration is provided using G4 plate filters. The hexagonal recuperator is said to be up to 30% more efficient than conventional cross-flow recuperators by increasing the length of the recuperator without adding to the depth and presenting more heat-exchanger surface. Other features automatic condensate pumps and electric preheaters.
