Improved filters prevent growth of bacteria and mould

Jasun Filtration is now producing its G4- and F5-grade pleated filters with Kimberly-Clark’s upgraded Intrepid filtration medium, which does not support the growth of bacteria or mould. The Intrepid medium is made from synthetic hydrophobic fibres that do not absorb moisture and so do not support the growth of mould or bacteria. This medium captures particles as small as 0.3 µm, making it up to 30 times more efficient than glass-fibre filters. Its high capacity for holding dirt gives a life of up to three months. This medium is thermally bonded to prevent shedding and does not contain chemical binders that may contribute to poor indoor air quality.
