Heating and cooling for Earth Energy are linked to the ground

Earth Energy
The ground acts as a source of heat and heat rejection for this installation at Earth Energy in Dagenham.
Both units are connected to vertical ground-loop heat exchangers and serve 4-pipe fan-coil units with water-side control installed in the ceiling voids Fan-coil units were chosen for their compatibility with ground-source heat pumps. Their use also avoids the need to run refrigerant pipework throughout the building, avoiding the danger of refrigerant leaks and health-and-safety issue. Buffer vessels and pump sets were provided as separate items mounted in the pipework.
