Heat for hotels from Viessmann

Viessman in place

Viessmann Climate Solutions UK has partnered with Edwardian Hotels, one of the UK's leading luxury hotel groups, to deliver significant energy savings across its estate.

The first two installations of the partnership were completed in 2023 at the Edwardian Hotel in Manchester and the Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow with both hotels receiving combined heat and power (CHP) units resulting in a 35% energy saving, a 146,000kg reduction in carbon, and the investment of over £250,000 will have been recouped within four months.

The Edwardian Hotel on Peter Street in central Manchester received a 96% efficient 260kW Viessmann EM260 CHP unit, replacing a 70% efficient CHP unit. The 8.5 tonne unit was delivered by a 200-tonne crane with 95 tonnes of ballast, to the hotel's 15th.floor plant room via an opening in the roof. The new CHP joins four existing Viessmann Vitoplex boilers to supply the hotel's complete heating and hot water needs.
