Two Panasonic P Series
units have been installed
at Eurostar’s maintenance depot in London, replacing its existing air conditioning units that cooled the IT suite.

Installation company Mac-Mech and Co. collaborated with distributor Logicool to specify and install the two Panasonic P Series units – models UPU30 & UPU50 (30kW & 50kW), which provide a more sustainable and reliable close control cooling technology.

The Panasonic P Series units selected for the project provide strict control of room temperatures and humidity making the perimeter unit
an essential for data centre applications, whilst having a very high energy efficiency ratio (EER) and low operating costs.

The P Series close control air conditioners offer cooling solutions for an array of special applications requiring strict and tailored temperatures.

The old units cooling the IT Suite at the depot were over 20 years old and no longer effective. After researching competitor options, it was found that the Panasonic units had a shorter delivery lead time, offered better value and were easier and quicker to install compared to other market alternatives.
