Marine makeover

Morris & Spottiswood has delivered a turnkey office refurbishment project for Tokio Marine HCC International (TMHCCI) in the heart of the City of London’s prominent insurance district.

Taking place across two floors, the award-winning St Botolph Building, Aldgate, was chosen for its sustainability credentials, location and modern working environment, easily accommodating a flexible layout over a variety of rooms, workspaces and breakout areas.

The agile nature of the Morris & Spottiswood team and its knowledge of London property saw the project delivered smoothly and on time. Collaboration was at the heart, so at every stage of the process the client was able to visualise the end result.

Morris & Spottiswood Joinery was instrumental in the high quality craftmanship displayed in the build and superior finishes. With over 300 people working on each floor, the design and fit-out delivery were carefully designed and executed to withstand high volumes of traffic, employee work patterns and the requirement for open, collaborative spaces. Acoustics and lighting were therefore key elements of this design, ensuring every area of the floor layout reflected the intended usage and fit for purpose.
