A mounting base for Aico mains-powered smoke alarms enables them to communicate without using cables. The Ei168 Radio-Link RF Interconnect mounting base can be used with Ei140 and Ei160 smoke alarms. Up to 12 units can be interconnected into a single system. A programmable repeater enables the RF single to travel greater distances. Optical, ionisation and heat alarms can all be used, as required. Rechargeable standby, tamper-proof cells with a life expectancy of at least 10 years are built in.
