Combining the benefits of a combi boiler with water storage — Glow-worm’s Xtramax HE condensing storage combi boiler.
Glow-worm has introduced a condensing version of its popular Xtramax boilers. The Xtramax HE High Performance storage combi is rated at 33 kW and stores 200 litres of hot water for instant delivery. These boilers have a SEDBUK rating. Hot water can be drawn from two or three taps at the same time — at much higher flow rates than from a normal combi boiler. When the stored water has been depleted, hot water continues to be delivered at 14 l/m at a 35 K temperature rise. Recovery time is four minutes. Standard features include a built-in bypass, integral filling loop, 2-stage frost protection and anti-seizure controls. Flues can be up to 5 m horizontal, 5.5 m vertical and 40 m twin. The boilers also achieve NOx Class 5 emissions.
