Emergency lighting uses LEDs

Two LEDs are used to provide small and low-maintenance light sources in Menvier’s Briteway emergency luminaires.

Long-life LEDs are used in Menvier’s Briteway range of emergency-lighting luminaires to reduce maintenance. Two LEDs are used in each fitting, with lenses to achieve accurate directional control of the light to illuminate the escape route to 1 lx. These fittings are designed to be mounted axially, unlike luminaires with fluorescent tubes, thus complementing typical mains lighting layouts. They are 198 mm long, 107 mm wide and 36 mm deep Using LEDs means that the light level when the mains is healthy can be set for the application using a discreet multi-function switch, which also initiates an automatically timed 10-second functional test. These luminaires are available as maintained or non-maintained versions and can be specified with self-test or Easicheck automatic testing.
