Inviron secures continuation of Fluor maintenance contract

Birmingham-based Inviron has won a 3-year contract worth £200  000 to continue maintaining mechanical and electrical services on sites operated by Fluor Ltd. Its scope includes Fluor’s UK headquarters at Camberley in Surrey and various tenanted buildings throughout Greater London. Inviron and predecessor companies have work with Fluor for over 15 years. It was awarded a 3-year maintenance contract by Fluor in 1999, which was renewed annually after its expiration. The new 3-year contract includes providing two Inviron resident engineers on site (one of which is the contract supervisor), a 24/7 reactive call-out system and the employment of up to 15 M&E sub-contractors. Paul Horsley, Inviron contracts manager, says, ‘The new tender, though won primarily on our value-engineered bid, allowed Inviron to offer an entirely fresh approach in the fulfilment of the contract, including raising the bar in terms of customer-service expectations.’
