Fan-coil units achieve fast installation at London hotel

FCU
Off-site pre-commissioning of Diffusion’s Ambassador fan-coil units enabled them to be installed and running in just a few hours in the new City Inn Hotel in Westminster.
Over 500 specialised fan-coil units for hotels have been supplied by Diffusion for the newly built Westminster branch in central London of the expanding City Inn Hotel network. This hotel is the fourth in a fast-building chain that includes Glasgow, Birmingham and Bristol. The patented Ambassador hotel system is a single integrated slot-in intelligent heating, air-conditioning and reporting unit that enables room service to be planned around room occupancy. It also allows room temperature, controls and alarms to be viewed remotely. These units are made and pre-commissioned off-site and can be installed and running in a few hours, compared with days for traditional systems. The units for this hotel were supplied with user-friendly wall-mounted control plates to enable guests to control their own environment. FaberMaunsell was M&E consultant. diffusion@etenv.co.uk
