Bailey secures BP contracts

Bailey has secured a £7 million-plus contract to design, install, test and commission all mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations for BP’s new North Sea headquarters in Aberdeen. The company, a division of NG Bailey, is also responsible for the enhanced fit-out of tailored building services in the new headquarters. This work is worth a further £6 million and will include the installation of stand-alone data and air-conditioning systems. The work will take 14 months. Once complete, the 20 500 m2 3-storey building owned by international office developer Akeler will be leased by BP as the headquarters for all its North Sea operations in the UK and Norway.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government
