Connection system makes light work of solar PV installations

PV
Wiring time for solar PV systems can by reduced by 90% with a connection system developed by Wieland Electric.
To speed up the installation of photo-voltaic systems by up to 90%, Wieland Electric has developed a specialised connection system. The Gesis AC-solar system comprises 3- and 5-pole connection for the mains connection of PV systems. The 3-pole version is rated at 250 V and the 5-pole version at 400 V. The rated current is 25 A for both versions. Angled device connections can accommodate cables of up to 18 mm2. The system provides IP66/68 protection and is made of materials resistant to ultra-violet light. Mechanical coding ensures that the connector cannot be mis-matched with other devices.
